Philosophy

Insert your philosophy here.

Do's:
  • Ask yourself, "What is important to me, what are my values?"  Make sure they match your future employer's values
  • Get someone to proofread it - check for spelling and grammatical errors
  • Narrow done the main points you want potential employers to know about you
  • Use positive language
Dont's:
  • Don't go on and on.  Keep your philosophy statement to 50 - 250 words depending on your circumstances

Note: Please visit Capilano University's Student Employment Services in BIRCH 270 for advice on how to write a philosophy statement and for proofreading services.
